  • What can Indigenous values and ways of learning teach us about how to transform our assignments and our evaluation practices? 

These are a few of the questions we will explore together in Assessment, Evaluation and Indigenous Ways of Knowing.

 

Current assessment and evaluation practices measure learning in particular ways and at times constrain diverse cultural understandings of the world or undermine cultural practices and values. This session will explore how Indigenous ways of knowing can shape your current evaluation and assessment practices and create space for Indigenous values and ways of teaching and learning in post-secondary classrooms.
